The grand facade adorned with intricate detailing and ornate spires captivates the eye, while its interior exudes a sense of tranquility with its graceful arches, colorful stained glass windows, and a soaring nave that inspires awe. This sacred space stands as a testament to both religious devotion and timeless craftsmanship, creating a serene sanctuary in the heart of the bustling city. Visited the Church on Christmas and had a really great and peaceful time there :)
St. Francis Xavier's Cathedral is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bangalore. The first church of St. Francis Xavier was constructed in 1851 by French missionaries . The new church was inaugurated on 26 May 1932, which would become a cathedral in 1940. The cathedral's large compound has three schools: St. Aloysius', St. Anthony's and St. Rock's. There is also a Shrine dedicated to St. Anthony. Beautifully constructed in an extremely beautiful & peaceful locality and has very large area for parking. We attended the Sunday 0945 AM english mass and it was a wonderful experience.
One of the most popular churches in Bangalore. Been visiting this church from many years and it's been a very good experience soo far. The dome structure of the church and the way its built gives that old time Cathedral look which will look good for photos.
